The Barn at Hawksfold - Stay With Us
Hawksfold Estate — South Downs National Park
A 16th-century converted barn on a private estate with 50 acres of ancient woodland. Two bedrooms, space for four, and a pace of life you'd forgotten existed.
The Cottage
The Barn is a converted 16th-century Sussex barn on our family estate near Midhurst. Original beams, thick stone walls, and the kind of quiet that only comes from being surrounded by your own woodland.
It sleeps four across two bedrooms — comfortably enough to feel at home, small enough to feel private. Outside, a firepit and barbecue are ready for evenings spent under the trees. There's parking for two cars and not a single reason to move them once you've arrived.
This is a place for slow mornings, long walks straight from the door, and the kind of evenings where the only light comes from the fire you've just made.
50 Acres of Private Woodland
Step out the door and you're in it — 50 acres of ancient woodland on the Hawksfold Estate, yours for the length of your stay. No footpath sharing, no crowds, just quiet trails through the trees with the South Downs Way nearby when you want something longer.
This is a working woodland. We grow and air-dry our own ash hardwood here, so you might spot our drying barns on your walk. Help yourself to a box of EMBER kindling for the firepit — it's the same wood, from the same trees, dried the slow way.
Dog Friendly
