Sustainably grown ash from our woodland at Hawksfold Estate, near Midhurst in West Sussex. Air-dried in our traditional barns, never kiln-dried.

Ash is known as the king of firewood — it catches fast, burns bright, and lasts up to three times longer than softwood kindling. One box is enough to get you through weeks of fires, not days.

What's in the box

2.5-3.5kg of 100% ash kindling, split from timber grown and processed on our estate. Delivered in a sturdy recyclable cardboard box — no plastic nets, no wrap.

Works with everything

Wood burning stoves and open fires. Fire pits and chimeneas. Pizza ovens and camping stoves. Sized to light easily, burns long enough to get your fire going first time.

Why air-dried?

We don't use high-energy kilns. Our kindling is dried slowly by the Sussex air in our barns — a lower-impact process that produces a cleaner, more honest burn. Your purchase helps us care for the land, plant more trees, and keep Hawksfold thriving for the long term.

Storage

Keep the box somewhere dry and well-ventilated. Always follow your appliance manufacturer's instructions and keep kindling away from open flames and out of reach of children.
