EMBER Ash Hardwood Pizza Oven Logs — Large Box

Sustainably grown ash from our woodland at Hawksfold Estate, near Midhurst in West Sussex. Air-dried in our traditional barns, never kiln-dried.

Cut with a slimmer profile than standard firewood, these logs are built for bigger pizza ovens — the kind where a regular log is too thick and too slow. Thinner logs mean faster ignition, higher temperatures sooner, and the steady, sustained heat you need to keep turning out pizzas with properly charred crusts and wood-fired flavour.

Ash burns hot, clean, and long. It's known as the king of firewood for good reason — and because we air-dry rather than kiln-dry, you get all that performance with an eco-friendly footprint.

What's in the box

20kg of 100% ash logs, cut to approximately 24cm with a slim profile for faster, fiercer heat. Split from timber grown and processed on our estate. Hand-packed and delivered in a sturdy recyclable cardboard box — no plastic nets, no wrap.

Who it's for

Larger garden pizza ovens, built-in outdoor ovens, and commercial setups — including models like the Gozney Pro, Morso Forno, Clementi Mila 60, and Fuego 80 and 90 series. If your oven takes a bigger log and you're cooking for more than a couple of people, this is the box you want.

Also ideal for fire pits, chimeneas, and open fires where you want a longer, steadier burn without constantly feeding the fire.

Why air-dried?

Most pizza wood is kiln-dried — fast, but energy-intensive. We take a different approach. Our logs are dried slowly by the Sussex air in our barns, producing a cleaner burn with a lower environmental impact. No kilns, no rush, no compromise on performance.
