What Rowan Cabin will be
Where Hawthorn sits on the wood edge with a view out, Rowan goes in — a short walk down a ride to a clearing where the only traffic is squirrels. The plan is deliberately spare: a desk under the biggest window, a wall of shelves, a deep chair by the log stove, and a bed you can hear rain on the roof from. Who it's for
Rowan is for finishing things: the draft, the thesis, the pile of novels that never gets opened at home. It's also simply for people whose favourite holiday is being left completely alone in a wood. When the words stall, the estate's wildlife is a short, restorative interruption — and the hides are a fine place to think.
